The Young Artists Musical Theatre Writing Workshop is a collaboration between student composers and Pre-K and Kindergarten classes throughout the city. The Encores Musical Theatre Project works with City Center to send writing teams to New York City middle schools in all five boroughs. In both of these programs, the children develop communication and collaboration skills, strengthen their awareness of their own creative ideas, and begin cultivating their appreciation of musical theatre as an art form. Tisch students grow and develop as teaching artists and are encouraged to reach out to the community thoughout their careers.
